COASTAL DYNAMICS

Rivers are dynamic fluvial systems.Natural and anthropogenic changes in the river system has an impact on natural resources and economy. Since flood plains of rivers and their deltas are home to major population centers, their optimization and management are deemed crucial for the safety and welfare of communities. We conduct research and consultancy services that analyze existing riverine processes and condition, and provides insight for the predictions of future changes.

Focus areas:

• Local and regional scale morphodynamics of natural and anthropogenic interventions in rivers and water ways.
 • Sediment transport in rivers and littoral transport in coastal zones.
 • Navigation and optimization of dredging activates.
 • Flood risk management.
 • Stream transport of constituents (i.e.; nutrients and toxicants).
